Karen was born March 23,1940. She passed away February 3, 2003. She was living in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the time of her death. She succumbed to a rare form of alzheimers disease.
Karen was a fun classmate and a very good friend. We remained good friends after high school and spent time visiting each other back and forth. The last time I talked to her on the phone, she didn't know me, but I continued talking and talking, knowing I would never talk to her again. I miss her so much!
Karen and I went way back to the sixth grade when she stopped me and wanted to know if she could walk with me because some guy was following her. She did and we became best friends through high school We drifted apart after high school, but I remember all the fun and American Bandstands we danced to after school.
